You ever just not want to go to work and school and just stay home snuggling your kids all day instead?
Hit 1,000 posts tonight
Not sue if that is a good thing or a bad thing.
Anonymous asked: I'm scared of raising children. I'm amazingly excited and ready for it. However, I feel like I think about myself to relation to my parents and how much I've hurt them in the past. How do you deal with your children? Do you have any girls? What will you do when they start to date and such? Thank you.
Not guaranteeing an answer tonight but
The ask box is open. Especially accepting questions or thoughts related to depression or trying to figure out life.

In 2008, Mr. Obama had a prominent team of Catholics for Obama, led by Pennsylvania Sen. Bob Casey. Perhaps it will rev up again—though “Catholics for Obama” is notably absent from the page on Mr. Obama’s website that lists groups such as “Jewish Americans for Obama,” “Latinos for Obama,” “LGBT Americans for Obama,” “People of Faith for...

A powerful sort of thought when you think about prayer, moments of silence, or expression of religion by individuals in a school. If one cannot afford a private school, it does not mean that his/her freedom of religion should be limited.
As President Obama (appropriately) is speaking at so many monuments today remembering the noble things so many Americans gave their lives for, I wonder if Michelle Obama would be willing to re-examiner her comment 3 years ago that “for the first time” she “is proud of her country”?

Thanksgiving Dinner
Just over a month ago my mother-in-law was buried at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery in IL. I’d like to think that while my wife is making a bunch of salads and desserts that her mom is busy making a Thank You dinner for all of her new neighbors this Memorial Day.
My new favorite verse: "A gray head is a crown of...
A Vatican butler takes a few pages of documents and it makes the front page. All the US bishops stand in solidarity against the HHS Mandate and 43 Catholic institutions put a court case in favor of religious liberty against on oppressive government and you might end up on p. 8, if at all.
Bluntly stated, if your tumblr name is “fuckyeah(anything)” I will never reblog you.
So there. Get some creativity and a deeper vocabulary.
The lunar eclipse...
… got more coverage by the liberal mainstream media on the day that 43 Catholic groups brought lawsuits against the HHS Mandate.
Bias by omission on an overwhelming scale.
But, put a crucifix in a jar of urine and watch the coverage escalate.

This Sunday we will celebrate the 50th Anniversary of my parish. Honor guard will be there. I (4th degree) will cantor. Appropriate or weird if I wore my tux and baldric? (no cape/chapeau for sure)
Original thought would be that it would almost be a silly question and I would look kind of funny. It was almost a joke. Then other thoughts were that it might show that the Knights are involved in...

Anonymous asked: Right now, I really feel down in the dumps. Recently, I’ve been watching porn. I always stop for a while, then head back to the habit of doing it again. It really sucks after every time where I say I want to stop, and yet I’m continuing in this vicious cycle.

While faith may ultimately dictate your beliefs on who exactly Jesus was, once again we see strong historical evidence that many of the details in the Bible are indeed true.

Why did he make the mandate’s religious exemption so narrow that it defines as “religious” only those organizations that primarily employ and serve members of their own faith — a test that even Mother Teresa’s faith-saturated ministries would flunk? And why, when confronted with the widespread, ecumenical uproar over the mandate’s violation of the First Amendment, did...

When parents schedule their kid’s birthday party on a Sunday morning I want to ask, “Do you really have no idea what people try to do on Sundays?”
Today around 320 central I prayed for my followers at a local eucharistic adoration. Any good stories about the rest of the day that might show God was listening?

Deliver us, Lord, we pray, from every evil,...
I recently picked up on this and realized that of all the new translation of the Roman Missal, this is the part that will now take me the most to get used to and that I never saw coming.
It used to be “Deliver us, Lord, from every evil, and grant us peace in our day. In your mercy keep us free from sin and protect us from all anxiety as we wait in joyful hope for the coming of our Savior,...

Gotta watch those publications
My daughter was looking through her National Geographic almanac that had been given to her. One page had a little blurb about 6 different major world religions. Strike One: it did not identify Catholicism as being Christian. Strike Two:stated that Christianity was based on the teachings of Jesus Christ. No, it is based on the belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and Savior. He was not just...

The biggest attacks on Catholicism...
…appear to be coming from Catholics with no clue.
It is really so disappointing and scary. Those of other religions appear to be somewhat respectful overall. Sadly, the feelings of people who received poor catechesis or who are acting out like immature children when they realize that others don’t approve of them doing whatever they want - even though it is damaging to them and a sign...
It is so disappointing when you give someone every benefit of the doubt and they turn out to be just what everyone warned you they were.

This has a strange smell on so many levels. Seems mostly a political move. The NAACP has been becoming more of a side political group that no longer seems to support the causes and beliefs of the people it claims to serve.
